Which External Hard Drive Is Better?

All depends on what you’re looking for. If you want it to be something like a backup drive, then I would go with the first one. If you want something that is more frequently accessed, and you use a lot more, the the second one would do nicely.
All in all, they are both good products. Seagate is a very good company. As you didn’t give prices, I don’t know which one would be cheaper. If you just want it as a storage drive for files that you don’t use frequently, whichever is the cheapest would be great
I think it pretty clearly shows package 2 is better.. But i am sure it will be expensive as well.. so it all depends on you, and your pocket
if both are on same price then go for package 2
your post is long but interesting i even stared your question, anyone of those hard drives will do the job it’s just a matter of personal choice.
Nuber 2 would be my choice/ 2. Seagate 1TB FreeAgent External Hard Drive ,SGFAD1TB – SEAGATE 1TB FREEAGENT EXT HDD .
I’m not sure what OS you are useing but either way XP or Vista is ok and dont forget windows 7 is just around the cornner “October 22nd”
i have my order in….good luck
I feel that the first option is better. It depends on what exactly it is you are storing but it at least lets you know the rpms of the hard drive and 7200 is quite a bit. For just storing music and other documents that don’t necessarily need to load quickly like big movie files and/or game files then I would go with whichever is cheaper.
