Where Can I Get Good Php Advice And Quickly?

November 21st, 2009 by CTO WebOjO.com website designers Lahore Pakistan Leave a reply »

I have an oscommerce store and am trying to add mods to it.
I’m relatively new to PHP so its going slowly.
Is there anywhere that I can get good advice quickly regarding errors etc
I have tried out a few PHP forums but it can take days for 1 answer when I I could do with talking either live to someone or getting a quick reponse
Anyone know of a good site to go to, so I can get the answers I need?
Thanks, Kel.

Please join “phpResource” a group on yahoo. ( http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/phpre… )
I am myself a moderator on this group. And here, you will get response at most in hours but mostly in minutes.

If you need live support, you should be prepared to pay for it. People who answer your question on forums do so out of the goodness of their hearts, so you should forgive them for wanting to do it on their, rather than your, schedule.
More specific to your situation, some errors you get with osCommerce arise because your server does not meet some of the osCommerce’s requirements, so you have no business installing osCommerce on it in the first place…

specific errors, or PHP error handling in general?
Always ensure errors are visible or being logged.
    Here’s a good start if the latter:http://uk.php.net/manual/en/ref.errorfun…

    There’s w3schools’ reference site here:http://www.w3schools.com/php/default.asp
    And about.com’s PHP troubleshooting section:http://php.about.com/od/troubleshooting/…
    Hope this helps!
