Php: How Do I Make A Bunch Of Pages That Look The Same, But Display Different Content Based On A Variable?

January 31st, 2010

I have a Pokemon Diamond/Pearl fansite www.trainercommunity.net
I want to make a “pokedex” on the site. Each pokemon (there are around 400) will have it’s own page. All the pages will have the same layout, except they will have different pictures (depending on which pokemon it is for). Is there a way that I can make just 1 page, and depending on a variable that is in the address bar, the page will display the correct info?

What Do You Look For In A Php Framework?

September 16th, 2009

Me and a buddy are planning on creating a PHP framework, because we are unsatisfied with the current selections. Our primary focus will be on enabling AJAX, and refining the plugin process.
To help with the process (we’re still in the brainstorming phase, with some initial code scratched out), I’m asking you: What features are absolutely essential to you in a PHP framework? What would you like to see in popular options like Drupal, or CakePHP, but aren’t there?
Thanks.
