I have a B.S.I.T from a university. I probably learned as much, if not less than you did about web design, so here is the difference between us.
We can probably both do the same things, but I owe $60,000 for my student loans and I can’t find a job to save my ******* life.
At least you didn’t pay (hopefully) as much as me. Nobody is hiring right now, so build some sites to add to your portfolio and start showing them to people who may be interested in your services.

the only reason why its different is because you got a certification and not a degree. i wouldnt worry about it though. you are still going to make more money than you were before. congratulations!
a good friend told me that high education of any sort is important because it shows that you are willing to invest in yourself any way that you have to. if you are willing to invest in yourself, then employers will be willing to invest in you.
