The main idea behind font style is to present your web site overall attitude. If you have a children’s web site your font should be fun and creative. If your website is business oriented then you would choose a more formal font. Font shows your attitude and catches the users attention.

    The font style is one of the huge aspects of the site that creates its mood. A “new mothers” site may have Victorian-style lettering, while a “sports fanatics” site may have bold, blocky lettering. Imagine how these sites would look if the fonts were switched! The sports site would probably lose quite a few visitors… even if nothing on it changed.
    The font just really sets the mood for the site, along with the color scheme and the layout.

    It’s also important from an accessibility point of view. Some fonts are not easily read by folks with certain disabilities, for example, sans-serif fonts are not accessible.
